February is almost here and that means one thing. Valentines Day. And the request to send a million little cards to school with your kiddos.
Don’t get me wrong, I love any excuse to send cards. But the last time I browsed the kid’s boxed Valentines section of the store, I was not impressed. Neither were my boys. After all, most of it was generic, pink and plastered with characters. None of which are popular in this household.
What’s a mom to do?
Oh yeah. DIY them.
The boys agreed that space is just the cooliest so my job was to come up with a “Cool Space Card.” And a treat to go with it. That isn’t candy. Ready to see what I came up with?
So these were super simple. Once I designed the card, all I had to do was print them and add the “extras.”
To complete this project, you’ll need your printed Valentines, plastic glow in the dark stars, bounce balls, scissors and tape.
Assembling the star card is simple. Just take a loop of tape and attach the star to the card. Done!
The planet/bounce ball card is just as easy. Cut a hole out of your card where you’d like your “planet” to be. Make the hole large enough to push the ball into snugly. And again. Done!
Simply right click the pictures above to save them to your computer! I had mine printed as 4×6 prints via my local photo printing center but you could easily print them at home.
Until next time, Happy Thursday!
